(Shanghai, September 8, 2024) – At the "1st Anniversary Press Conference of the CUHK-Yangpu Week and Shanghai Centre," Hopebotics, one of the research translation projects from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), officially joined CUHK InnoHub at Shanghai Base. This project aims to advance the application of robotics technology, bringing innovative solutions to the medical rehabilitation sector.
The press conference was held in Yangpu District, Shanghai, with the CUHK delegation led by CUHK President, Professor Rocky Tuan. The event was witnessed by local Yangpu District officials, the CUHK delegation, and CUHK alumni from the Yangtze River Delta region. Professor Tuan emphasized that the establishment of CUHK InnoHub at Shanghai Base provides an essential platform for scientific innovation and industry-university collaboration between Hong Kong and Shanghai, fostering research translation, industry innovation, and talent cultivation.
Hopebotics' entry marks the company's commitment to utilizing the resources and platform at the Shanghai base to deepen the application of robotics in the healthcare sector. The project focuses on developing the next generation of customizable flexible wearable rehabilitation exoskeletons and brain-computer interface technology, offering more flexible and effective rehabilitation support for patients.
